I have tried them all… WW, Jenny, Low carb, no carb, south beach and vegan. The last go around was vegan and not just your ‘French fries and bread only’ vegan, but your plant based, NOTHING processed kind of vegan!
I will tell you it was my one of my favorites.. I was in such a good mood and I am a total foodie and love to cook, so I got to reconnect with the taste of fresh and in many cases fresh vegetables. I would recommend to anyone to try for Vegan, if just for a week or two.. more than that was unsustainable for me.
I have kids and a husband that I love to feed, so making two or 3 things every night was making me insane, not to mention going to the store and having to shop for so many different needs. Honestly it is not like you can just make a salad and whatever protein the family wants to eat, that will work one or two nights, but you get so sick of eating salads… salad… salads, and you feel like you are depriving yourself, not the way to success for me.
For my vegan experience, I got turned on to try the 22 day revolution by a radio show. The book has foreword by the bodylicious Beyoncé. It takes 21 days to change a habit therefor the 22 days.. I don’t like doing anything half so I am going with 23 days for my new experiment… it is also the number of days till baby #2 turns 2..
It is time to start feeling good about my body again. I have always been “big boned” or curvaceous, but I have always felt good, strong and sexy. I had shape in all the right paces, but after falling in love (minus 10 lbs), moving in together (+ 20lbs), having baby #1 re: eat everything in sight for 9 months feast (+45 lbs) nursing (-35lbs), not being able to get pregnant with #2 (first +15, then -10) and finally having lucky baby#2. I am netting out about 50lbs more than I would like…
